My name is Ebele Ezeamakam.My stage name is “Ebele The Flutist”

Share with us your Childhood and Educational Background?
Am from Anambra state but I grew up in Edo state(benin city).am second out of six children. I read accounting as my first degree and business admin as my 2nd degree.(Benson Idahosa University)

Why did you choose the flute?
I started playing the flute at age 14, it was like an hobby that became my passion,now its a career


What are the challenges you face in this profession?
At first I was scared if I will be accepted,bcos a lot of people don’t think the flute is a vastly instrument.but am not afraid of that anymore bc I have proved myself,that i can use the flute to do anything.

What does the flute mean to you? The symbol.
its my Uniqueness!it also a means to express un-interpreted words to God.playing the flute is just one part of me,I sing as well too and I do both when performing.there are other parts of me that will be unveiling soon in my album lunch/concert.

What your view about the Gospel World. Any Improvement?
A lot of improvement now than before.we have a lot of Gospel artist doing different genres of songs,but I pray we will be better than this


Most youths don’t know what jazz is, that is why they don’t love jazz,” you made this statement at unesco jazz day. What have you been doing to help situations?
A lot are on the pipeline also have been doing some training in music,which is part of my project. To teach a lot of people about playing musical instrument and singing songs on different genres.

Are you married?
Not yet…

What do you do at leisure time?
I strategies a lot,research informations on my ideas. Am into health and fitness so I exercise/gym.I love rehearsing my music/flute/singing/dancing


Who are your role models when it comes to playing wind instruments?
Phil driscore and Mike aremu.

When is your album dropping?
Wow,that’s the next big project on the pipeline, can’t really give a date now,but watch out for it,soonest by God’s grace.

Word for The people .
I normally advise young people to follow their passion. They should not let anyone discourage them from their goals and also,they should take necessary actions towards achieving their God given goals.
